Open Letter from the Festival Chair

The 2017 Columbus International Festival will continue a 62 year tradition of bringing together the diverse cultural community in Central Ohio. We are proud to present many new and exciting features such as:

  • Live cultural entertainment and fashion show
  • Ethnic foods and cooking demonstrations
  • Free festival “Passport” and global activities for kids
  • Parade of Nations, Sat & Sun, 3 p.m.
  • Free flu shots, eye, dental and other medical screening free of cost
  • Children’s activities and arts & crafts, free of cost
  • Naturalized Citizenship Oath Ceremony by a federal judge at our CIF stage

Dr. J. S. Jindal, a retired dentist, is Chair of Columbus International Festival and Sr. Vice-President of India Festival. The Columbus International Festival has been his passion because of the diverse cultures showcased, education, and family fun.

Sadhna Jindal

Audit Chair

Sadhna Jindal is a Travel Consultant for SNEH Travel. She enjoys the rich diversity that CIF has to offer to the community. She is a great asset to the prosperity of CIF and assists in auditing of planning.

Emily Breder

CIF Committee Member; Digital Media Consultant

Emily Breder is a virtual team manager and Scrum Master who has volunteered for the Interfaith Association of Central Ohio alongside Dr. Jindal. She is an unabashed scifi nerd, strength training enthusiast, and practicing Zen Buddhist.

Mohammed Mohsin Ahmed

CIF Committee Member

Young, talented and fun loving individual working with AEP.  Volunteering with CIF to help in planning and organizing the upcoming 2016 event.

Sandy Winchester

CIF Committee Member

Sandra Meador Winchester became affiliated  with the Columbus International Festival as a result of being the Global Impact Chairman with Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority  Inc. Alpha Sigma Omega Chapter, Launching New Dimensions of Service.

Munish Arya

CIF Committee Member

Munish Arya has been associated with Columbus International Festival since 2011, he also served on executive committees with FIA and EKAL Vidyalaya. He enjoys diverse cultural background and practices dance, meditation and Yoga.

Celal Evliyaoglu

CIF Committee Member

Celal was born in Turkey and moved to the US in 2010. He began working for the Turkish American Society of Rockford as Director for 5 years, then moved to Ohio to act as Director of the TASO branch in Columbus.
